Job Title:       Emergency Float Staff Day Float

Supervisor:   Intensive Support Program Coordinator

Role:  Emergency Float Staff provide support for a number of homes with training and support needs as well as two-person task assistance.  The Float staff will also assist with emergency situations.   This position requires a high degree of flexibility and a thorough knowledge of WAC and policy.  Emergency Float Staff work specified shifts at specified client homes, but will provide emergency response as directed by the Coordinator On-Call.  Duties may include some or all of the tasks listed below. 

Qualifications:  Must be at least 18 years of age. Must demonstrate well-developed communication skills and be able to work effectively in a work team environment.


  • This position will work regular shifts as assigned, but will be trained and delegated for multiple households in order to provide emergency response.
  • This position provides back up support for teams by assisting with: peer coaching, completing some Team Leader duties, quality assurance tasks, emergency room visits, emergency requests for assistance, situations where a second staff is required for transfers, or any other need deemed critical by the Coordinator on-call.
  • The Emergency Float Staff will be required to perform direct care tasks while working their regular schedule or when acting as emergency fill-in.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Intensive Support Program Coordinator or Administrator.
